5th Grade Competition

There’s no actual comparison between professional basketball players and budding prodigies, but a young soldiers heart rules. High school athletes will compete for college scholarships in the midst of tactful AAU “handlers”, while reminiscing elite middle school match-ups.

John Lucas and Brian Merritt continued the competitive trend at the John Lucas All Star Weekend Tournament in New Orleans. Middle School Hoops caught video of jersey #3 crafty Zion Harmon (MD) of Team Glory and  jersey #11 man-child Jaden Springer (TN) of We All Can Go, where Springer won a 5th grade championship over Harmon who “was consistently double and triple teamed in the game but played very well.”
