Rare 2024 Aaron Powell
Rare Powell
His success will be and has been of his own accord.
2024, 5’11”, two-guard Aaron Powell from Pasadena, California, was one of only six west coast players to attend the USAB Gold Camp held in Richmond, Virginia.
“He showed tremendous team play, IQ, passing ability and on-ball defense throughout the camp.
He knocked down shots consistently and made himself known by USAB evaluators.”
Aaron produces a 3.7 GPA at a neighboring middle school.
Thus far, he has received numerous college offers, according to Verbal Commits.
Jason, Aaron’s dad and longer than decade head athletic trainer for the LA Clippers, oftentimes trains his son.
“It’s a little different and confuses folks how I know the game but my profession is in the sports medical field.”
Lil’ Powell also works out with notable NBA athletes like Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford.
Moreover, Aaron’s parents have collegiate experience.
“My wife and I played at Cal Poly.”
Them at California Polytechnic State University was after Jason transferred from San Diego State University.

Whether competing against girls or boys, class-of-2026 guard Ty’lexiana Meyer (IL) dominates on the court as a reliable dribbler, persistent scorer and valiant rebounder.
“In 6th grade she was seventh-and eighth-grade MVP and All Conference,” said her coach.
Meyer, nicknamed Lexi, educates herself at LSA (Lutheran School Association), performing a 3.6 GPA.
Ty’ would like a full scholly to the University of Duke for study and sports.

“He’s always positive and willing to learn whatever is taught to him.”
He collects A’s & B’s at El Campo Middle School.
“As a student, he has basketball after school and then comes home, finishes homework and studies.”
2025 Keilan wants to hoop for “LSU.”
“He is a great team player on-and-off the court.”
Sweeney anticipates a free ride to compete in college sports: “Baseball, football or basketball whichever is offered.”

Cheery Gowdy
Respected as an artful defender and playmaker, she can consistently make half-court baskets.
2024 guard Kaelyn Gowdy, a Libra, lives in Fultondale, Alabama.
Gowdy furnishes a 3.4 GPA at Fultondale High School, where she’s on the Principal’s Honor Roll and starts as point guard on the varsity team.
“Her range beyond the three point line is insane.”
Last season she played with MidSouth Banshees 2024, and for twenty-twenty with All Alabama Roadrunners 2023.
“We are impressed with the her love of the game and her willingness to continue to grow as a player and person.”
Expect college recruiters to sought her in a few years.
Karlyn hopes to play in the WNBA. Other occupational interests are Entomologist or a Zoologist.

Isiah Fortune & Frederick C. Blue
Both 2024 G Isiah Fortune and 2025 PG Frederick C. Blue III play for the 13/14U Chino Avengers.
They compete on different school teams in California. No. 4 Isiah goes to Bidwell Junior High School, and no. 3 Frederick attends Marsh Junior High School.
Blue gets buckets. “He’s literally scoring 30 points on his 7th grade school team and playing half the games.”
Playmaker Fortune demonstrates basketball acumen, fundamental footwork and sees through defenders like x-ray vision.
Their AAU coach refers to Isaiah as thunder (sound) and to Frederick as lightening (light).
“Man, the boys went crazy….”
2019 Christmas weekend, they terrorized guards at Solider Town in Oakland, California, blowing out opponents by 75, 65 and 30 points.
Referees halted the championship because opposing players had pick fights with them.
They will be kicking butt and taking names at the below tournaments. Expect them to be on fire in 2020 and beyond.

Darien Green from Illinois, Chicago, has big college dreams; he wants an athletic scholarship to “DePaul University.”
Darien’s coach says “Green has great court vision, is a good passer, an excellent defender and shoots the ball with range.”
Green is enrolled at Willa Cather Elementary as a regular Honor Roll student.
He loves playing NBA 2k20 on PlayStation 2.
After life on campus, Green desires to become a professional basketball athlete and head coach.

If you ask Coach Kobe how often does his The Mamba 2024 AAU team practice, he’d reply “what you mean, man? . . . ”
Kobe played 17 years for the Los Angeles Lakers before he retired in 2015.
His daughter is Gianna Bryant, a talented student athlete in the class of 2024. Her friends call her GiGi, and she’s taken the country by storm.
Kobe has built The Mamba Sports Facility — where he teaches “All the basics.”
Coach Kobe also coaches The Mamba 2024 AAU team, which includes the likes Randolph’s daughter,
Recently, they captured the ninth-grade division at the Ballin’ in the Fall tournament.
Last week, they played at The Map in California, where their “rebounding footwork, ball handling, cutting, moving off the ball and boxing out were on full display.
And Coach Kobe was in the huddle.
Gigi appears capable on both ends of the court. Kobe says it takes “patients.”
“They’re only 12 years old… let them develop and let them grow.”
How many days does his team practice?
“7 days a week.”
A team mom added, “sometimes two times a day.”
Kobe approaches basketball development one step at a time.
“I have my players for high school, so I have a 6 year plan.”
What does this mean? “I train in increments.”
Increments? “Piece by piece by piece.”
Before Kobe stepped in, he says, “they could barely dribble or shoot… They’ve gotten a lot better in 10 months.”
So how often does Kobe’s team really practice?
“We practice every day and night.”

The next high school graduating classes (2031-2024) might consist of better prospects than previous years.
Elite specimen 2024 James Evans (KS) shows enormous promise and plays club ball for 14U Paul George Elite, a Los Angeles based program.
In September 2019, he relocated to Fresno and enrolled into 8th-grade at a public school in The Central Valley.
Other 2024 eminent Californians to follow suit are pro-minded combo-guard Aaron Powell, an expert NBA trainer’s son, plus Cameron Mercadel, a cerebral pass-first player who made national headlines after his feature on Whistle Sports No Days Off.

Phenomenal seventh-grade Jerry Easter II (OH), whose mother played college sports four years and is a school principal.
ABC News also broadcast him on television several times.
Furthermore when lil’ Easter was a sixth-grader, Bowling Green State University offered him a college opportunity.
He sprouted nine-inches (5’5” to 6’2”) within just two years.
Although it isn’t crystal clear who got next for 2026, shooting-guard Landon Jones (AZ), not to mention his natural gifts, appears to be at least one of them.

2024 Cameron Mercadel (CA) trains harder than most athletes his age to stay ahead of the game.
His intense passion to become the best version of himself thrusts his name into the top-10 discussion.
Last month, Whistle Sports produced a basketball documentary about Mercadel that captured his insane work ethic.
The viral footage unveils Cameron’s superlative skill set.
