MSE Missouri Camp

The MSE Missouri Camp happened on Saturday November 12, 2016 at the state of the art Bud Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. Top-notch players from Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee and Michigan, including excited spectators, flooded the building.

We emphasized to campers the importance of early academic awareness and preparedness for the NCAA, and parents were pushed to establish relationships with scouts, coaches and recruiters.

Here are some standout players at the MSE Missouri Camp. The MVPs received cash in place of a trophy.

Top 8th Grade Performers

Jaden Winfield

C/o 2021 Jaden Winfield MVP

Jaden Winfield (MO) was MVP at the MSE Missouri Camp. He wore players down with his conditioning and decision making. He uses either hand equally to score or make plays.

Shemarree Shareef (MO) scores in transition before the offense turns into defense. He has nice size, athleticism and potential.

C/o 2022 Mark Mitchell (KS) scored three pointers or short jumpers off fast breaks. If defense set up, he dribbled out. He sprint back in transition if he lost the ball.

Duriel Rogers (MO) attacked from the wing with in-and-out and behind the back moves. He reads and reacts and knows game situations.

Top 7th Grade Performers

Vincent Ores (TN) created space on the floor to better operate. He played relentless not letting frustration take over.

Jarin Sanders (KS) put pressure on the interior defense with straight line drives. He attacked off the bounce and drew fouls.

Camden Andrews (TN) kept his eyes on the rim to make defenders guard him. He has a balanced attack in half court.

Top 6th Grade Performers

Makaen Hastings (KS) ran the secondary-fast break like a pro. He made the outlet pass or got to the foul line and didn’t rely on three pointers.

Demontrel Jones (MO) used the fast break to attack the defense. He made jumpers inside the arc of the paint or dished to man in the low post.

B.J. Wesley (MO) used a drop step and step through to score in the red. He’s as talented as his peers.

Ahmaad Ba (MO) is a quality player with skills and toughness. He got teammates involved, scored and played defense.

Julius Thedford (TN) is a thick junk yard dog with backcourt and upfront presence. He created his shot and didn’t wait for screens. His future is bright.

Robert Basks Jr. (KS) is a rising phenom with a catch-and-go game. He got his foot pass the defender’s hip to beat him.

Gerald Burris (TN) is scrappy with skills and a high basketball IQ. He passed, sealed his man and tussled to get the ball back.

Dominic Jamieson (TN) hit threes and then shot fakes if defenders closed in. He was difficult to stop with his passes as well.

Donny Yeager (MI) has a wicked crossover and foot speed advantage. He has a good drive and dish game, plus NBA shooting range.

Jeremiah Davis (TN) is a beast in the paint. He has good footwork, pivot and counter moves. He carried his squad every game.

Phillip Moore (KS) is a heady point guard with court vision and one-hand passing ability. After he passes, he flares to the perimeter for a jumper.

MJ Yeager (MI) runs a team fast or slow pace, and scorches the ball from deep. He attacks open seams in the defense for layups. He also matched up in a decisive 1-on-1 game to become MVP.

Tavion Cummings (TN) has good dribbling and ball handling skills. He’s a threat to shoot, not only pass.

Ottabwa Dickson (TN) has a quick dribble and footwork. His skill set and instinct enables him to constantly perform at a high level.

Dehrio McCaskill (MO) was aggressive and energetic the whole day. He’s eager for the rebound or inbound pass to get the ball up court.

Carlin McCreight (TN) suffered an eye injury at the MSE Missouri Camp. But that didn’t stop him from looking defenders away and using pass fakes to open lanes.

Joseph Aghaeze (MO) is an animated athlete who doesn’t rest on defense. He chooses his shots wisely and does the dirty work for his team.

Isidore Ba (MO) gets to the basket from anywhere within half court. His shots created driving and passing lanes for his teammates to even score.

Mashad Griffin (TN) confused players with his dribble and then made jump shot floaters in the lane. He surveyed the floor in triple threat position to avoid dribbling.

Kain McCaskill (MO) is a top 3 player in the nation. He played lock down defense and drained jumpers from inside and outside.

2nd grade LeDon Webb (MO) was the youngest player to show up and show out. His personality, demeanor, skills and toughness is beyond his age. Currently he’s the nation’s best player in class of 2027.

Evin Eversole Middle School Elite 4th grade / Class-of-2025, Evin Eversole from Kentucky is a top ranked player nationally. Eversole says, “the basketball court is the one place that I’m truly the happiest!”

He spends two to three days a week conditioning his mental and physical. Before games, he quotes a bible verse to remind himself that “all glory belongs to God”.

But he is not just busy with sports. For example, he serves on his school’s leadership team, a community outreach program. He’s also a member of the MARS club based on his math performance.

Eversole’s father said, “my son’s days are long and very structured, yet he still finds time to enjoy his greatest hobby ” and “he knows that God blessed him and it is his job to praise Him above anything else.”

Class of 2021, point-guard, Jacob Bush from Richmond, Texas is a high IQ player with an offensive and defensive overall skill set.

The Briscoe Junior High school student-athlete aims for honor roll this semester.

Bush, who’s 5-11, capitalizes on his steady jumper, and ability to finish layups with both right and left hand. He’s a reliable ball handler down the strength in games.

His future is bright considering he’s only been playing basketball three years. With more aggressiveness and confidence, he might be a beast at the high school level.

Elliott Factor 

imageSeventh grade, Tyrese Elliott from Alabama is a two sport athlete who plays football and basketball. He’s an A and B student athlete at Sparkman Middle School.

Elliot competes on the 7th grade team though he’s talented enough to play up. The floor general does it all from scoring, assisting and rebounding.

His dad said, “he’ll get his chance next year.” Elliott trains everyday, and plays better against older competition.

“We’re just enjoying the process.”

Sixth grade, Kizer Slone from Kentucky attends Emmalena Middle School, where he’s ahead of the class and game.

Slone’s a strong ball handler, rebounder, defender and shooter. He’s aggressive and poise attacking the basket versus taller players.

New Face Elija 

imageClass of 2023, Elija Haynes from Texas is an exceptional role model student at Live Oak Middle School.

The 6th grader is still new to the game of hoop despite his great play at the 2016 MSE Texas Camp.

In 2014 Christmas, he got a heavy duty portable basketball goal. Then he practiced in front of his house during the spring. As a result, he developed IQ, skills and athleticism.

Eventually, Haynes realized his elite potential as a prospect. His dad says, “he will be a force to reckoned with in the near future.”

Dontae Potts Heard Fifth grade, Dontae Potts-Heard from Georgia is a strong minded 10-year-old attending Sixes Elementary, where he maintains a 4.0 G.P.A score.

Potts-Heard’s name is starting to buzz across the country. A coach said, “he’s a noteworthy player.”

Based on footage, Potts-Heard effortlessly penetrates the lane using a plethora of moves to enact tough plays.

“He does a little of everything for his team to win. He’s an ultimate team player. Carries a will to win on his shoulders at all times.”

Unselfish Potts-Heard hopes to play for Duke University and earn a degree in Engineering, and then play in the NBA.

Fifth-grade, Jerry Easter from Toledo, Ohio is a straight A student-athlete who recently featured on ABC 13 News.

His mother, Trena, who’s 6’0″ competed four years at University of Michigan after receiving an athletic full scholarship, and his father, Jerry, who’s 6’4″ was a standout high school basketball player in Ohio.

Easter was a fourth grader when we captured him at the MSE Michigan Camp. He earned MVP each class despite talented campers from third through eighth grade. Also, he captured MVP his age group at the MSE Ohio Camp.

At the John Lucas Camp for fifth and sixth grade, he held his own as the lone fourth grade attendee. Easter has performed admirably on the AAU circuit, too.

Phenomonal Easter is currently ranked No.1 on the 5th Grade MSE Top 40 National Player Rankings for Class of 2024.

The 2nd Annual MSE Virginia Camp unfolded at The N Zone in Chantilly, Virginia on November 5, 2016. Campers from Maryland, Virgina, Georgia, New Jersey and North Carolina gathered to receive early intense training and instant exposure.

Parents were urged to create relationships with scouts, coaches and recruiters, and players learned that thier G.P.A didn’t technically start until high school for NCAA qualifying.

Here’s a look at some standout players at the MSE Virginia Camp.

Ihsan Duncan (VA) is blessed to win MVP in a talent filled group. The 5-11 combo guard is a natural athlete that pushed himself. Dunking is his next step.

Wisler Sanon (NJ) is a long, versatile player who dominated smaller contenders in the post. He did drop steps and up and under moves. He handles the ball like a point guard.

Justin Bell (NC) has scoring skills and NBA persona. He’s as quick with the ball in his hand than without it. He has future potential.

DJ Pritchett (VA) picked apart defenses with precision. He cradled the ball to finish layups. He yelled “Ball, Ball” on defense.

Ryan Hite (VA) fought hard to make steals or recover loose balls. He penetrated gaps east to west. He’s a solid point guard.

Justin Taylor (VA) played with flair for greatness. He anticipated passes in the lane on defense, and saw plays before they happened.

Jalen lowery (NC) is an athletic guard who hung in the air to finish lay ups. He attacked ball handlers instead of staying on his heels.

Isiah Edmundson (MD) attended the MSE NYC Camp last year. He pinned shots to the backboard and pickpocket ball handlers. He’s on the rise.

Logan Barbour (VA) has nice size and skill set, and he played with poise and control. His moves are precise and calculated. Keep an eye on him.

7th Grade Top Performers 

Yamere Diggs (NJ) who won MVP is a crafty and physical playmaker. He has a plethora of moves at his disposal.

Isaac Rivera (VA) has good feel and mobility for a big guard. He stole the ball to compensate for turnovers, and he muscled his way to the basket for buckets.

Cayjoun Crenshaw (VA) is a sturdy ball handler with plenty energy. He juke defenders and lowered his head to attack the rim.

Casian Richard (NC) won MVP because of his attitude, character, and focus in drills and games. He has awareness on and off the court.

Elijah Childress (VA) ran the fast break every possession. He has a nice built and strong ball handle. He thread the baseline for reverse lay ups or dish to cutter.

Daquan Davis (MD) inbounded the ball with vengeance. He dusted off opponents with ball fakes, and avoided trap areas.

Sebastian Akins (VA) used a stutter-step to freeze defenders. He moved without the ball to create space for teammates. On defends he played help side with jab steps in the lane.

Carlos Abarca (VA) improved greatly since last year’s MSE VA Camp. Hopefully he’s just as prepared for the next MSE event. He’s dertemined to improve, compete and win.

Chance Mallory (VA) earned MVP after non-stop back and forth battling. He has a deceptive ball handle and rim drive. He’s not afraid to take his man to the hole.

Amaree Davis (VA) played bigger than his stature; he’s gritty with heart. He hustled and demonstrated elite skills.

Clark Mastin (GA) represented Georgia, proving to be a top player in the state and country. He’s an exceptional point guard with a knack for scoring.

Damani Day (NC) is a top 5 player in the country that impressed MSE during check in. He has the total package but more important untouchable character.

Rodney Scott (MD) dribbled in-and-out, behind the back and spin moved on defenders. He dished the ball down low or kicked it out as defenders collapsed.

Michael Bolton (VA) backed up his already huge name with showmanship. He used strength and speed dribbles on fast breaks. He’s a feisty guard who dictated the game’s tempo.

Dante Mayo Jr. (MD) has a high basketba IQ and smooth game. He used a quick release jumper off the dribble to score. His play level elevated throughout camp.

Mason Pulliam (VA) outplayed competitors with his threatening size. He Euro stepped and finger rolled. He has defensive court presence.

3rd – 4th Grade Top Performers 

Donovan Petidos (VA) showboated for the crowd as the MVP. He distributed the ball and scored when needed. He followed up missed shots and got back on defense.

Jaden Faircloth (VA) has a tight dribble with fast reflexes. He played spectacular as a newly ranked MSE player.

3rd grade Anthony Smith (VA) is one of the best young players in the nation. He performed outstanding under pressure.  He’s top PG in our book.

2nd grade Bradyn Arline (VA) quickly moved his feet to turn players from the scoring lane. He passed the ball and cut to get open on offense. He has a bright future if he keeps up the good work.

The 2nd Annual MSE Texas Camp took place Octobee 29, 2016 at The Gym in Humble, Texas — Houston. Campers from 3rd through 8th grade and spectators packed the arena.

During the introduction/motivation segment – we advised campers to limit their dribbling, and play north to south, not west to east.

We also stressed the importance of early NCAA academic awareness and preparedness, and explained the G.P.A score does not rollover from middle school; it starts in the 9th grade.

For parents, we recommended they create relationships with coaches, scouts and college recruiters instead of solely focusing on their own child’s play.

Here are several top performers whose character, skills and maturity shined bright at the MSE Texas Camp.

8th grade Javon Jackson Texas – The talented shooting guard arrived late to camp, but left MVP. He’s fundamentally sound and good enough to compete on his future high school varsity team as a freshman.

8th grade Demari Williams Texas – The strong wingman runs the fast break like a point guard. He’s a competent ball handler and scorer in transition. He’s a phenom in the making.

8th Grade Imo Essien Texas – He is a tough, wiry, flashy athlete who easily beats defenders off the dribble. He scored at will from everywhere on the court. He’ll make his high school coach very happy.

8th grade Naquan Moffett Texas – Chiseled body, Moffett aggressively attacked the center to score or distribute. He’s a pure shooter but just as good a distributor.

8th grade Lamondo Cargile Texas – The elite star is better than he thinks. He intimidated opponents with constant, relentless drives to the basket. He has a chance to make it big time.

8th grade Terrance Gardner Texas – He drained wide open trey shots with ease even from the corner. He moved without the ball to create shots for teammates.

7th grade Dylan Glover Texas – Big country won MVP because he dominated on both ends of the floor. He either launched a three or stormed in the lane for buckets. He’s virtually unstoppable.

7th grade Jaidan Scott Texas – It was a joy watching him play a fast pace game. He played at game speed in drills as well. He’s naturally gifted with upside.

7th grade Jaleen Goodman – The shifty point guard put on a spectacular show. He made no-look laser passes to cutters. He blew by defenders when they reached.

7th grade Ke’Mauri Millender Texas – He split double teams with a pull back dribble. He absorbed body contact and drew defenders to dish the ball or score.

7th grade Jaylon Jackson Texas – In half-court, he exploited mismatches with a lob or step around pass. He dribbled under pressure with his head up on fast breaks.

7th grade Ziyan Ali Texas – He was one of the most focused players at camp. He courageously finished shots through hard fouls. He’ll be much improved at the next MSE showdown.

7th grade Olaoluwa Akinrelere Texas – He’s a bulldozer when attacking the rim. He crashed defensive boards and executed the secondary break. Weaker opponents had no answer for him.

6th grade Finley Bizjack Texas – Believing his thumb broke from colliding into a player and thought of losing a battle, he used his willpower to become MVP. He’s physically and mentally conditioned.

6th grade Owen Berry Texas – The agile big played up against 7th & 8th graders. Later, he joined his age group and punished smaller players. We hope to evaluate him at the next MSE Texas Camp.

6th grade Austin Pickett Texas – He entered camp ranked No. 7 on MSE and left top 5, after demonstrating elite potential. He’s eager for the inbound pass to initiate plays. His handle made Bizjack stumble.

6th grade Brycen Matthews Texas – He has a devastating crossover and pull up jumper. He planted his shoulder in the defender’s chest to control space. He’s an exceptional defensive challenger.

6th grade Elija Haynes Texas – He played energetic and athletic; has a variety of go to moves. The crafty hooper stretched the defense with deep three pointers.

6th grade Cayden Sato Texas –  He’s an alert, mobile big man with soft finger tips to make easy put back shots. He rebounded and blocked shots. We look forward to seeing his progress next year.

5th grade Bryce Smith Texas – He won a decisive 1 on 1 game to earn MVP honors. But not before battling different players 5 on 5. He’s a tough national contender.

5th grade J’Narri Franklin Texas – He useds speed and change of direction to dictate the game’s tempo. He has skills, IQ and court presence. Curious about he he will develop in middle school.

5th grade Gregory Jackson Texas – The point guard displayed superb ball handling skills. When double teamed, he passed to the open man. He’s a true champion.

4th grade Malik Rideout Texas – The feisty guard penetrated lanes with straight drives and head fakes. He’s humble and coachable, plus a fast leaner. No wonder he was MVP.

3rd grade Tylan Hall Texas – Hall gave the game his all, thus was crowned MVP. He plays as if he has basketball genetics, and he’s not afraid to step-back dribble and release a jimmy.

2nd grade Tyson Forrest Texas – As the youngest player at camp, he played up a few grades. He’s a deceptive ball handler with the shooters touch. His camp experience will take him far.

Wisler Sanon (NJ) is a long, versatile player who dominated smaller contenders in the post. He did drop steps and up and under moves. He handles the ball like a point guard.

Justin Bell (NC) has scoring skills and NBA persona. He’s as quick with the ball in his hand than without it. He has future potential.

DJ Pritchett (VA) picked apart defenses with precision. He cradled the ball to finish layups. He yelled “Ball, Ball” on defense.

Ryan Hite (VA) fought hard to make steals or recover loose balls. He penetrated gaps east to west. He’s a solid point guard.

Justin Taylor (VA) played with flair for greatness. He anticipated passes in the lane on defense, and saw plays before they happened.

Jalen lowery (NC) is an athletic guard who hung in the air to finish lay ups. He attacked ball handlers instead of staying on his heels.

Isiah Edmundson (MD) attended the MSE NYC Camp last year. He pinned shots to the backboard and pickpocket ball handlers. He’s on the rise.

Logan Barbour (VA) has nice size and skill set, and he played with poise and control. His moves are precise and calculated. Keep an eye on him.

Yamere Diggs (NJ) who won MVP is a crafty and physical playmaker. He has a plethora of moves at his disposal.

Isaac Rivera (VA) has good feel and mobility for a big guard. He stole the ball to compensate for turnovers, and he muscled his way to the basket for buckets.

Cayjoun Crenshaw (VA) is a sturdy ball handler with plenty energy. He juke defenders and lowered his head to attack the rim.

Casian Richard (NC) won MVP because of his attitude, character, and focus in drills and games. He has awareness on and off the court.

Elijah Childress (VA) ran the fast break every possession. He has a nice built and strong ball handle. He thread the baseline for reverse lay ups or dish to cutter.

Daquan Davis (MD) inbounded the ball with vengeance. He dusted off opponents with ball fakes, and avoided trap areas.

Sebastian Akins (VA) used a stutter-step to freeze defenders. He moved without the ball to create space for teammates. On defends he played help side with jab steps in the lane.

Carlos Abarca (VA) improved greatly since last year’s MSE VA Camp. Hopefully he’s just as prepared for the next MSE event. He’s dertemined to improve, compete and win.

Chance Mallory (VA) earned MVP after non-stop back and forth battling. He has a deceptive ball handle and rim drive. He’s not afraid to take his man to the hole.

Amaree Davis (VA) played bigger than his stature; he’s gritty with heart. He hustled and demonstrated elite skills.

Clark Mastin (GA) represented Georgia, proving to be a top player in the state and country. He’s an exceptional point guard with a knack for scoring.

Damani Day (NC) is a top 5 player in the country that impressed MSE during check in. He has the total package but more important untouchable character.

Rodney Scott (MD) dribbled in-and-out, behind the back and spin moved on defenders. He dished the ball down low or kicked it out as defenders collapsed.

Michael Bolton (VA) backed up his already huge name with showmanship. He used strength and speed dribbles on fast breaks. He’s a feisty guard who dictated the game’s tempo.

Dante Mayo Jr. (MD) has a high basketba IQ and smooth game. He used a quick release jumper off the dribble to score. His play level elevated throughout camp.

Mason Pulliam (VA) outplayed competitors with his threatening size. He Euro stepped and finger rolled. He has defensive court presence.

Donovan Petidos (VA) showboated for the crowd as the MVP. He distributed the ball and scored when needed. He followed up missed shots and got back on defense.

3rd grade Anthony Smith (VA) is one of the best young players in the nation. He performed outstanding under pressure.  He’s top PG in our book.

2nd grade Bradyn Arline (VA) quickly moved his feet to turn players from the scoring lane. He passed the ball and cut to get open on offense. He has a bright future if he keeps up the good work.

Fifth-grade, Jerry Easter from Toledo, Ohio is a straight A student-athlete who recently featured on ABC 13 News.

His mother, Trena, who’s 6’0″ competed four years at University of Michigan after receiving an athletic full scholarship, and his father, Jerry, who’s 6’4″ was a standout high school basketball player in Ohio.

Easter was a fourth grader when we captured him at the MSE Michigan Camp. He earned MVP each class despite talented campers from third through eighth grade. Also, he captured MVP his age group at the MSE Ohio Camp.

At the John Lucas Camp for fifth and sixth grade, he held his own as the lone fourth grade attendee. Easter has performed admirably on the AAU circuit, too.

Phenomonal Easter is currently ranked No.1 on the 5th Grade MSE Top 40 National Player Rankings for Class of 2024.

5th Grade Charlie Robin (IL) Takes Charge

Come Back Charlie

image5th grade, multi-sport athlete (basketball, soccer and baseball), Charlie Robin, from Illinois attends Wilmot Elementary School in Chicago.

He’s naturally a point and shooting guard but capable of playing the forward and center positions. At age 10, he has long arms and wears size 10 shoe, and projected to be 6’3″.

Class of 2024 Robin is an excellent passer, rebounder, slasher and defender for his age. His court-vision and IQ is up to par. He’s a consistent 15 foot jump shot, and range beyond the perimeter.

Robin’s dream college is the University of Illinois, and career goal is to be a Physician.


6th Grade Finley Bizjack (TX) Gets Busy

Bustling Bizjack

image6th grade, Finley Bizjack from Texas attends Bear Creek Intermediate and is a straight-A student athlete.

Every morning, Bizjack rides his bike 3 miles to his local recreation center where he puts up a 1000 shots. Then he cycles to school. Afterward, he teturns to the gym for several pick-up games. He even incorporates individual work outs.

Bizjack was a MVP award recipient at the 2016 Middle School Elite Texas Camp. He perpetually dominated competition his age group.

“I know an 11 year old who gets up on his own every morning at 5:20 a.m. to shoot jumpers before school,” said Charles Campbell of Hoop DFW.

Bizjack is predicted to sprout to 6’8″, and dunk the ball by 8th grade. He aspires to attend Duke or Baylor University, and play in the NBA.


Class of 2022 Kasai Burton (OK) is a Bearcat

Burly Burton

image7th grade, Kasai Burton from Oklahoma is a young scholar at Pleasant Grove Public School.

Playing on the Oklahoma Bearcats school team, he averages 25 points per game. Kasai’s is quick with active hands, largely when defending and rebounding.

He aggressively attacks the basket to either score or create shot opportunities for teammates. His competitive switch doesn’t turn off.

C/o 2022 Kasai’s has several dream schools in mind. What college might offer him in the future?
